Taking place for the first time in November 1995, the Provincial Bowling Tournament has become an annual event for all activity centers. Its purpose is to encourage the get together of centers and to make it a day of fun for all.
WHEN
This tournament will be held in May; when at all possible, it should take place during mental health week.
LOCATIONS
For reasons of reducing transportation cost, four regions of the province have been designated.
Region 1- Sussex, St-Stephen, St-George, Saint John, Fredericton, Woodstock
Region 2- Edmundston, Campbellton, St-Anne, Dalhousie, Grand-Falls, Clair, St-Quentin, Lorne
Region 3- Caraquet, Shippagan, Bathurst, Miramichi, Tracadie, Néguac
Region 4- Moncton, Kent County, Shédiac, Tantramar, Caledonia
PRIZES AND SCORES
Each team plays two games and the scores are added together. The total of the two games are compared with other teams and the highest score wins.
Each region will be responsible to send their scores to the Dalhousie activity center no later than May 31 in order to determine the provincial winner.
TEAMS
Two players will form a team with a maximum of 6 players per lane.
In the event where some players are missing to form a team, it will be the host center’s discretion to help out. Playing fees for this will be the responsibility of the host center. Where the activity center director needs to play, his or her score will not be considered.
INELIGIBILITY
Participants who play in a competitive league outside the center are not eligible to compete in the tournament.
